Founded by Ethiopian immigrants Anduale Hassan and his wife Elsabet Tiruneh over a decade ago, Authentic EthioAfrican underwent a full overhaul in 2022 — the couple traveled back to Ethiopia to gather furniture and art for a dining room now described as an Afro-beat and jazz-bar atmosphere, serving ginger-spiced chicken stew, fresh cheeses, vegetarian dishes, and a traditional coffee service. A second Scottsdale location opened in early 2025.
