One of Charlotte's oldest Black-owned coffeehouses, situated on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University — KokoMo's is a legacy institution of the Historic West End / Biddleville neighborhood. Established in the early 2010s by JCSU alumna Tiwanna 'Koko' Hagans, the coffeehouse serves coffee, smoothies, baked goods, and light fare to students, faculty, and visitors. After Hagans' passing, JCSU and
