Named for a 19th-century New Orleans bar that claimed to have first served cocktails, Jewel of the South is a Black co-owned cocktail lounge and restaurant in the heart of the French Quarter — housed in an historic 1826 Creole cottage with dark woods, bare brickwork, antique mirrors, and a lush courtyard. The bar team's approach to classic and original cocktails has earned it a spot on the New Orleans & Company official Black-owned self-guided food tour, alongside a menu of elevated bar bites. N
